The one on the right houses the staircase which gives access to the bell tower. Superbly decorated with buttresses, niches, coats of arms and pinnacles, it recalls the Church of Our Lady of Kernascléden. The dissymmetry of the whole is particularly surprising. The Boutteville, lords of Faouët who strongly marked the city between 1340 and 1550 were the patrons for its construction. You have to go inside the building to admire the most remarkable element of the place: a splendid polychrome wooden rood screen. To this day, it is one of the most beautiful polychrome rood screens in Brittany. The chapel also has a very beautiful set of 16th century stained glass windows illustrating the Passion, the life of Saint John the Baptist, a Tree of Jesse and the life of Saint Fiacre. At 500 meters, the Saint-Fiacre fountain consists of two basins connected by a stone channel of seven meters. Its architecture exceeds that of a traditional fountain. It may be the remains of a care facility for the sick dating from the Middle Ages. Its water is traditionally known to cure skin diseases. In July and August, flash tours of the St Fiacre chapel on Tuesdays and Thursdays to discover the history and riches of this chapel for half an hour! Practical information: Meeting in front of the chapel at 11:30 am. Wearing a mask is compulsory. No reservation. Free visit.
