  • 1136: foundation of the Cistercian abbey of Notre-Dame by Conan III 1789: the monks leave their abbey which will be abandoned and pillaged 1806: by imperial decree, the abbey houses a stud farm which in 1856 will be transferred to Hennebont. Since 1856, the abbey has been occupied by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit. Owners, the Spiritans restored the cloister and the abbey church, established a seminary, workshops, a farm, and opened their African museum. Today it is a retirement home...

Guided tours in summer, every day except Sunday morning and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
