Chapelle Saint-Melan

Historic site and monument ,  Chapel in Lignol

  • The Saint-Melan or Saint-Mélaine chapel dates from the 16th century.

  • The western facade of the chapel is pierced with a broken arch window. It opens with a door, of the same shape, adorned with a brace above which we can see the trace of a hammered shield. A short molding at the base of the small building. The bell tower is open with semicircular bays, at the angles furnished with balls. The chapel houses a statue of Saint Melan.
