Jardins du château du Coscro

Park and garden ,  French-style at Lignol
  • The Château du Coscro in Lignol is the work of a family of 17th century parliamentarians, the Lantivy. It is a classic style residence with a raised central pavilion built in the front. The Château du Coscro in Lignol is the work of a family of 17th century parliamentarians, the Lantivy. It is a classic style residence with a raised central pavilion built in the front. It houses a remarkable stone staircase. The well-ordered facade and the dormers with triangular pediments of this construction in large regular fixture give it a great look. The stables framing the main courtyard and the two identical pavilions linked by a large masonry moat add to the elegance of the place. The set responds to the concern for symmetry and perspectives from a central axis and access aisles that staged the hedgerow and landscaped environment. The current owner has been passionately restoring this mansion erected in a 20 hectare park for over 25 years. Occasional activities are provided by the gardener on the subject of gardening (pruning and grafting of fruit trees, protection of the orchard, activities around the vegetable garden conducted using organic methods, etc.) and on the discovery of nature (recognition of the plants present on the site and their various uses, discovery of birds, insects, etc.).
