Info on 02 97 27 03 49 The Château du Coscro in Lignol is the work of a family of 17th century parliamentarians, the Lantivys. It is a classic style residence whose raised central pavilion is built in front of the body. It houses a remarkable stone staircase. The well-ordered façade and the triangular pedimented dormers of this large regular structure construction give it a proud look. The stables framing the main courtyard and the two identical pavilions connected by a large masonry moat further add to the elegance of the place. The set responds to the concern for symmetry and perspectives from a central axis and access alleys which staged the bocage and landscaped environment. The current owner has been restoring, with passion, for more than 25 years this manor house erected in a 20-hectare park. Occasional events are provided by the estate's gardener on the themes of gardening (pruning and grafting of fruit trees, protection of the orchard, events around the vegetable garden conducted according to biological methods, etc.) and on the discovery of nature (recognition of the plants present on the site and their various uses, discovery of birds, insects, etc.).
