LETTER TO THE TREES - Meeting at 2:30 p.m. with Yves Yger in Locuon. Passionate about botany, storyteller and walker, Yves Yger writes letters to trees. Discover the different essences during a poetic walk. ""Each letter is an opportunity to discover a particular essence, encountered during walks in the forests or on the roads of France. In a precise and poetic language, the naturalist letter writer feeds his writing with memories, anecdotes and stories that paint a moving portrait of each species, pleasantly mixing botanical and literary knowledge. Each letter is illustrated by Florence Gendre, who perfected her advertising feature at the National Museum of Natural History. ""For this piece, Thierry Micouin and Pauline Boyer choose to reconstitute a framework of play in a sensitive space and draw a scenic perimeter there. Playing with the presence and absence of bodies in the spectators' field of vision, they show the surroundings, play with the depth of field from fixed points of view and thus invite the construction of a pictorial gaze. Faille is a creation of moving paintings from which emerge the multiple landscapes that surround us by their re-presentation. She transforms our perceptions of our surroundings, making Faille a machine for making landscapes from living and moving paintings. To write the choreographic score, Thierry Micouin relied on an algorithm known as the Fibonacci sequence, a sequence of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two numbers immediately preceding it: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc."" (Source: Lieux Mouvants).
