This 2024 creation highlights courtly poetry texts by female authors from the 12th to the 14th centuries. Medieval music and today's drone music rub shoulders and intertwine with the sound of voices, oud, setâr, hurdy-gurdy, percussion, flutes. A moment of pure sound poetry. "Women, in general, love no art, know none, and have no genius"... These diatribes, borrowed for the occasion from JJ Rousseau (Letter to d'Alembert, 1758), teach us how men, the custodians of the written word throughout time, have hidden, scorned, and repressed the presence, creativity, and history of women. This is how we have chosen to highlight in this opus, courtly poetry texts by female authors from the 12th, 13th, and 14th centuries. The common theme of these poems is fin'amor, a pure and burning love that trembles with desire and respect before the loved and inaccessible being. The music was composed by Ingrid Blasco in the innovative spirit of drone music. Also purely instrumental pieces from the medieval repertoire, often anonymous, some escaped from the King's Manuscript, dusted off by the musical influences of each of the musicians (Ingrid Blasco, Alice Khayati, Mathias Mantello, Gwen Tual).
