Single Room // "Les Voies de l'Oyapock" No Tongues

Concert at Langonnet
  • A few touches of the electric harp, a few sung bursts: in Single Room, Rafaëlle Rinaudo and Émilie Lesbros open the doors to a room which, although it is solitary, is nonetheless transformative. A few touches of the electric harp, a few sung bursts: in Single Room, Rafaëlle Rinaudo and Émilie Lesbros open the doors to a room which, although it is solitary, is nonetheless transformative. Rock, electronics, composition, improvisation, English, French: this is music that is both immediate and as if troubled from within, distorted, enlarged. From a fine mixture of colors is born the sensation of tightrope music, suspended from a thread that is both ancient and modern. For several years now, La Grande Boutique has been attentive to the Nantes residents of NO TONGUES. Their previous project took up the ancestral songs from the Les Voix du monde disc (Le Chant du Monde, 1996) in an instrumental translation borrowing as much from noise as from free jazz. They are back with sounds recorded during their trip to the Amazon, between Brazil and Guyana. Thanks to the collection carried out and their poetic listening to the world, the musicians today immerse us in a new repertoire and new paths, those of the Oyapock river. Appointment at 11:30 p.m., all ages. Full price: € 10 - reduced price: € 8.
