The archaeological journey of the Pays du Roi Morvan is complete: 14 archaeological sites in 9 municipalities, a project led by Roi Morvan Communauté. For the discovery of all these sites a map is available in the 3 receptions of the Tourist Office and in all the town halls of the Pays du Roi Morvan. AND TO CELEBRATE THE EVENT: IMMERSION IN DISTANT PREHISTORY FOR AN AFTERNOON! The archaeological route gives pride of place to the Neolithic with 8 megaliths on the 14 valued sites. And what better way to allow you to appreciate these fabulous monuments even more than a collective experience: erecting a three-ton block as our ancestors did 6,000 years ago. Come and participate in the common effort under the benevolent leadership of Philippe Guillonnet, mediator in Prehistory (registration to participate the same day, on site). Endowed with solid experience in experimental archeology and mediation, Philippe Guillonnet has been organizing experiments for moving and lifting menhirs with the participation of the public for 15 years. Its animations are intended to be interactive, playful and participative, trying to get as close as possible to the gestures and techniques supposed to have been implemented. Children are not included in the menhir lifting ropes but are not forgotten, on the contrary! There will also be a block to move and it's right up their alley this time! Other festivities are on the program for this day. All the info on the flyer. PROGRAM: 2 p.m.: conference: "Living a megalithic site, moving and erecting a menhir", Salle Meyer, by Philippe Guyonnet, mediator in Prehistory. 3 p.m.: lifting of the menhir with the public.
