Les Endimanchés

Concert ,  Exhibition at Langonnet
  • The Endimanchés are a crossroads: in December, La Grande Boutique invites each year a plastician to create an installation which, every Sunday, becomes the place for new and ephemeral artistic encounters (dance, theater, music, etc.). If usually the 2nd afternoon parts are devoted to amateur practices and jam sessions, the health crisis has led us to favor, for this new edition, professional creations. But the spirit of these Endimanchés remains: Les Cahiers de Nijinski, D'ici Dense and Pirate patate remain under the sign of transdisciplinarity, inscribed in the DNA of these Endimanchés! This year La Grande Boutique is particularly touched to invite the one who initiated these Endimanchés: Cécile Borne, visual artist and choreographer.

At 5 p.m., Les Cahiers de Nijinski (5 €): A few days after his last public dance in 1919, the famous Russian dancer Vaslav Nijinsky, whose mental health is deteriorating day by day, begins to write his notebooks in a final impetus vital. He launches a mystical cry of love and rage, invective God and his fellows and oscillates between the writing of his memories and his daily life at the time, subjected to the anguish of those around him and to the awareness of his imminent. disappearance. Three high-flying artists immerse themselves here in this dazzling work: the charismatic Denis Lavant, and the musicians from improvised and contemporary music that are Matthieu Prual and Gaspar Claus. On stage the voice, the bodies, the skins, the sounds resonate with the breath of Nijinsky, summon the ghosts of his dances, and plunge us into the thrill of genius facing the incandescence of the mystery of dying, of creating, to be alive. From 7 p.m., soup concocted by Claire Dissez / Mother Cooker (€ 4).
